Democracy and Growth: The Impact of Political and Economic Freedom on Economic Growth of Selected Developing Countries for 1996-2015

In recent years, theory of growth and political economy has been considered among most of economists and theorists of political science. In most of studies in this area, role of democracy and it's indicators in promoting economic growth, has been always a major challenge of economists. This study aims to investigate the effect of political freedom and economic freedom on economic growth for 49 developing countries over the period 1996-2015. Husman test is also used to approve fixed effect method for panel data. The results show that economic freedom and political freedom have positive and significant effect on economic growth in selected developing countries.
