Over the past years, various type of multivariate statistical quality control procedures have been developed for monitoring simultaneously several correlated quality characteristics. The earliest multivariate control procedure reported was perhaps Hotelling control chart procedure. Recent studies have shown that the multiple sampling multivariate control chart detects process small shifts faster than Hotelling control chart. This article study Double Sampling Multivariate Control Charts for process mean vector. The optimal design for this control charts is formulated as an optimization problem. Monte Carlo simulation and Genetic algorithm used for solving this type of optimization problem.
