In recent years, increasing life expectancy and decreasing fertility rates in the wake of medical advances has led to the emergence of an aging phenomenon in the country, which is rising steeply. Now, the question is: what is the current state, how old are provinces in the country, and what proportion of the elderly are covered by social insurance and public support institutions? In this article, the monitoring of the aging status in different parts of the country (provinces) has been studied using the three indicators of "age ratio", "sex ratio of aging" and "age dependency ratio". Also, the share of the elderly with the support of insurance funds and public institutions providing support services to the elderly is determined by the province. The results showed that in the period between 2011 and 2011, the population of elderly people aged 60 and more than three times the total population of the country has grown. Also, in 1395, Gilan, Mazandaran, Central and Hamedan provinces have the highest proportion of elderly people. In 80% of the provinces, the share of older women is higher than that of men. Of the 7.5 million elderly people, they account for 63 percent of sustainable social support. Also, the share of coverage of social support in 18 provinces of the country is more than the total share of the country. |
