Replacement level fertility is one of the important concepts in the study of fertility rates and population growth changes. Fewer studies have addressed the importance of how to calculate this indicator. This rate is typically considered in the calculations of 2.1 children per woman. In this study it was shown that this rate does not have a fixed value and will be affected by variables such as sex ratio and life expectancy, while in this study it was shown that this rate does not have a fixed value and will be affected by variables such as sex ratio and life expectancy. In this study, using the life table and building a hypothetical generation of women, we calculated the exact level of replacement fertility. The results show that at different levels of life expectancy and mortality rates, the level of replacement fertility will be different. Also, changes in life expectancy and sex ratio variables have a positive correlation with the calculated replacement fertility rate. |
