Post-COVID-19 and Reconstruction of Rural Economy in Iran, (Case Study: Ray County)

COVID-19 disease has left various effects on the economic situation of the world, especially the local economy and among them the rural economy. Therefore, the country's rural economy has also been affected by the effects of this epidemic and will see changes in the future. Considering the multi-functional role of the rural economy of Rey county in providing food security for the citizens of Tehran metropolis, development policies in the post- COVID-19 era in this area should focus on sustainable development and livelihood goals. Also, in order to achieve the goals of sustainable development and economic resilience in the country, the process of exploring and investigating the reconstruction of the rural economy in the post- COVID-19 era is necessary to form the basis for strategic decision-making in this field. This applied research deals with the "investigation of the reconstruction of the country's rural economy in the post-corona era" using documentary and field studies. Based on the obtained results, the most important developments in the country's rural economy in topics such as; Modern stateism, technology and digital technology, private sector and institutionalism, changing the pattern of population mobility and movement, demand and supply of agricultural products, unemployment and employment, investment in food and agriculture sector, diversification of economic activities, increase in inflation, decrease in labor force and tourism and related activities.
