Evaluation of Factors Affecting the Correct Application of Statistical Methods in the Promotion and Development of Agricultural Skills: a Hybrid Approach

The main goal of this research is to identify and evaluate the factors (indices) effective on the correct application of statistical methods in the development of agricultural skills in the form of a model. This research is a combined research (qualitative: alignment and quantitative-survey). In the qualitative part, 10 experts (university professors of statistics and agriculture) were selected using the purposeful sampling method. In the quantitative part of the research method, it is a survey and 86 experts and statistical specialists working in the Ministry of Jihad and Agriculture were selected by simple random sampling. The results of the theme analysis, 6 educational, organizational-management, support-economic, research, cognitive and motivational indicators were identified. The results of the Friedman test showed that the "research" indicators with an average rating of 4.36 have the greatest impact on the application of statistical methods in the development of agricultural skills. The results of confirmatory factor analysis indicate that the introduced model has sufficient factor loading and appropriate fit. Therefore, with the correct application of statistical methods in agricultural fields, structures (or tools) can be provided that are effective in promoting and developing agricultural skills and farmers. In previous researches, the extent of application of statistical methods in agricultural sciences was briefly discussed, but the indicators (incentives) affecting the correct application of statistical methods in agricultural sciences have not been studied in this research. In this research, in particular, the indicators affecting the correct application of statistical methods in the development of agricultural sciences and skills have been identified and evaluated, and these indicators are in line with the upstream policies. The method and results of this research are innovative.
