The quality of statistics, as a product, is coming very essential for both users and statistics producers. Therefore, international statistical organizations and National statistics offices (NSO) are required to define an appropriate definition of quality for official statistics and its aspects. It is worth mentioning that some studies and efforts have also done correspondingly in our country. However, due to speed of expanding of this subject and also abundance of the related researches and studies, the previous studies need to be reviewed and updated to prevent any ambiguity for users. In this article, it is aimed to make a clear definition of quality for official statistics and its concepts. Moreover, it is seeking to give an apparent perception of the beginning of data quality concept in the statistical system by reviewing and summarizing the main international organizations’ works as references, which can be useful for establishing a customized statistics quality management system in the related NSO. |
